If you find yourself looking for individual health insurance, due to not being included in an employee group plan you need to look for any way you can get cheaper rates for coverage.  Obviously you want to gather as much information as possible as to what options may be open to you.  You may be employed where insurance is not provided. 

If so, you might consider whether individual health insurance is available for those self-employed and what restrictions exist.  At times, having a business license is all that is required to meet the qualification for better insurance rates.
