Online insurance shopping is great because you can get as many free insurance quotes as you feel you want, or need.  The following are a few things to keep in mind.
1.      Get insurance quotes on identical policies. Coverage can vary on each policy, so make sure everything is identical. Check the amount of insurance, what the deductible is, the length of the policy, and anything else that might be included. Do not assume that because the insurance quotes may be close the coverage of two policies is the same.
2.      Get insurance quotes from several companies and compare.  If you get insurance quotes online it is easy to check out insurance quotes from several different companies.  Do not think the first one is the best without comparing the insurance quotes from the other companies selected.
3.      When answering questions be truthful.  You will be required to answer a variety of questions to get your insurance quotes, so it is a must that you be both truthful and as accurate as possible.  This will help insure that the insurance quote you get will be accurate.  If you leave out important details, or only answer questions partially this could result in the company dropping your policy or denying benefits.
4.      The lowest insurance quotes may not be the best. Make sure you check out all the details if the lowest insurance quote appears to be the best.  Just because it is the lowest doesn’t mean it isn’t right for you.
