Everyone is concerned about having affordable medical insurance.  For many the most attractive way to have such insurance is if it is provide by one’s employer.  Often this includes Group medical insurance coverage, with guaranteed coverage while employed, regardless of your medical condition.  Your premiums (unless paid for by the employer) cannot be raised or you cannot be canceled.  Often, if you terminate employment you are still covered for a time period in order to get insurance privately.

Many workers do not have medical insurance provided on the job, or they are self-employed.  In this case, finding affordable medical insurance is a prime concern.  What is often available is called Individual Insurance plans.  The individual pays the entire premium, and often the coverage is not nearly so complete as a Group plan.  Having any pre-existing conditions with health issues can also seriously place limits on Individual medical insurance.
